Getting To Know Each Other
“Conociéndonos” (Getting To Know Each Other) is a social tourism programme in collaboration with the Intendancy of Río Negro and is currently part of the Corredor de los Pájaros Pintados (Colourful Birds Corridor). It has enabled 1000 people from rural areas and small towns to enjoy tourism activities.
People from over 35 communities in small towns and rural villages in Río Negro, Soriano and Paysandú,close to company lands have visited Fray Bentos’ best tourist attractions as well as Montes del Plata’s nursery, M’Bopicuá Biopark, Saladero de M’Bopicuá and the Las Cañas resort town.
These programmes are aimed at improving relations with the country’s communities by promoting local and regional development and so rural families can access the universal right of enjoying free time and recreation.
